Maria founded That Gorgeous Horse 2 years ago. Since then she has spent over 10 years selling equestrian equipment. Prior to that, Maria had a long and successful career working and competing in a range of disciplines including show jumping, eventing, dressage and both flat and National Hunt racing. This background ensures Maria understands exactly what professional riders are after when they are choosing tack, accessories and training equipment. Their hard work, dedication and often limited budget needs to be matched with products that are rigorously tested, do what they are supposed to and offer the best value for money.

Behind the Name

And who is ‘That Gorgeous Horse’? Maria named her business after her beloved horse of a lifetime, Bertie. A supremely talented dressage horse whose career was cut short by an injury over 20 years ago. Maria has devoted endless time, money and energy to ensuring his wellbeing. He’s still her best friend (and a rather expensive field ornament) to this day.
