Materials: Sensogan mouthpiece with stainless steel shanks and curb chain.

The DS Special has a particularly broad space for the tongue, with the low and slim port angled forwards by half an inch, making it exceptionally comfortable for all horses. It can make a huge difference to horses with a fleshy tongue and/or a low or flat palate.

The slim mouthpiece leaves much more room in the horse’s mouth to accommodate the bradoon and the angled centre means that it is not possible for the bit to touch the roof of the horse’s mouth – in fact, the more the contact increases, the more the port tips forwards and away from the roof of the mouth, a brilliant design.

Sprenger’s DS 42262 is an exceptionally good Weymouth, especially able to improve the contact between horse and rider.
