Sprenger’s Duo snaffle was the first plastic bit to come onto the market. It is the only one that has an inner steel cable and a 3 year guarantee against breakage.

Manufactured in the following sizes: 4 1/4″ (110mm), 4 3/4″ (120mm), 5 1/8″ (130mm), 5 1/2″ (140mm).

The Duo mouthpiece is very soft and flexible. An extremely mild and gentle bit that is very kind to the mouth but due to the inner steel cable, very strong and safe.

This eggbutt version keeps the bit stiller in the mouth and encourages the horse to chew.

It is suitable for young horses with delicate mouths and/or horses that are too sensitive to accept a metal mouthpiece. Also useful for horses that tend to develop splits and cracks at the corners of their mouth.

Excellent as a temporary measure for hard-pullers who have made their mouth sore, for lunging and long-reining, work in-hand, showing youngsters in-hand, etc.
