The ’40’ in the model numbers indicates that this model is made from Sprenger’s patented ‘German Silver’ alloy, which is made from 65% copper, giving it a stunning pale gold colour & a little more weight, which makes them easier to use & nicer to ride in.

The ‘004’ indicates the type of rowel, which is a 9 point ‘pastry’ or daisy rowel with totally blunt points that have smooth, rounded edges. The rowels are made from stainless steel. As with all of Sprenger’s top of the range spurs, these have a 100% guarantee against breakage. Classic spurs that will last you a lifetime.

This model has a 40mm neck including the rowel, which is the longest that Sprenger make in a rowelled spur.
