The unique design means that the ‘KB’ spurs fit perfectly on your riding boots, eliminating pressure and movement so that the spur is always in the optimal position for correct use and preventing damage to your boots. The pastry or star shaped rowel is completely blunt, with rounded ends on each of the ‘points’ and revolves smoothly and freely across the horse’s skin, making it both kinder than a blunt spur because it cannot rub, and more effective because the rolling sensation increases the horse’s awareness of the aids without causing irritation and resentment, allowing the horse to respond to the aid willingly. The slight ‘bumpy’ sensation of the pastry rowel is excellent for horses that have become dull to a blunt spur.
