The Universal provides excellent brakes with the superb KK Ultra mouthpiece, ensuring a soft and willing response from the horse.

Extremely versatile, it can be used with either one, or two reins, or with roundings, and adds some lever action to the normal qualities of a KK Ultra snaffle.

Sprenger’s KK Ultra Universal is particularly useful for horses that resist by coming above the bit and/or ‘blocking’ and stiffening through the jaw, poll, and neck, the Universal promotes a soft and round connection to the rider’s hands.

The lever action has a slight delay due to the lateral offset position of the upper ring. Riders can additionally add a curb strap to get more direct action.  We keep the curb straps in stock and they can be found in our ‘Sprenger Bit Accessories’ category.
