This special rotation is distinctly marked by a matte surface in the centre of the mouthpiece and ensures the rein aids reach the horse’s mouth precisely, but in a soft way, as the pressure is distributed evenly on the tongue.

Turnado bits enable perfect communication with the horse as prompt and ideal chewing activity is provided immediately.

Turnado bits, unlike most other single jointed snaffles, have no nut-cracker action and lie perfectly in the horse’s mouth, helping to prevent tongue vices such as putting the tongue over the bit.

This model is a good choice for horses that are over-active in their mouths: chewing constantly in an agitated or nervous manner, with a tendency to put the tongue out to the side or over the bit.

The Turnado is much stiller in the horse’s mouth than a double-jointed bit and its design distributes pressure on the tongue so evenly that these tongue ‘vices’ often stop almost immediately with the use of this model.

A good choice too for the slightly anxious, sensitive, horse as it helps to prevent tongue vices from developing and enables a more definite half-halt aid without resorting to strong aids.
